Painting and Drawing

This 12-hour course of Drawing and Painting is aimed to the practical teaching of easel painting. Lessons will be at any level and they give the students the possibility to express themselves through precise guidelines provided by the teacher. Students creativity will be encouraged in order to gain the necessary skills for a first approach to the world of Art.

In the beginning the students will be free to draw and paint what they prefer, using the expressive means they best know. This will be the opportunity to learn the correct use of graphic and painting techniques and materials and, later, to put in order in their creativity.

Objectives:
The lessons, which are held by well-known artists, provide a sound teaching in both drawing and easel painting.
These lessons, for all the levels, last three hours each and are held twice a week.
If it is required the lessons will be completed with visits to museums, art galleries, exhibitions of contemporary and ancient art.

Drawing:
• Study of sketching, of volumes and perspective.
• Shadows theory.
• Nude and still life study.
• Techniques: pencil, charcoal and sanguine.
Painting:
• Study of space and its composition
• Study of colours and colour techniques
• Reproduction of classic artists' works
• Techniques: water colour, acrylic and mixed techniques

Duration of each lesson: three hours (1 hour = 60 minutes)
Students can use their own materials or buy in RUFA (30,00 Euro per kit)

Course language: course is held in Italian.

No particular qualifications needed; direct enrolment in Secretariat.
