This 12-hour course offers an introduction
to human figure drawing through the knowledge of anatomy in general
and drawing
from life.
Course is integrated by a brief iconographical course (study of image), as
a starting point for the students to comprehend the representation of the Human
figure in the History of Art.
Purpose of this course is giving the students the
essential means, both practical and theoretical, in order to make simple
the understating of human body drawing and interpretation. These means,
when acquired, will allow the approach to the general drawing and more
specifically the humane figure drawing.
Objectives: Drawing from life:
• Basis drawing: construction of figure, proportions, inclinations, insertion
of image on space.
• Drawing from life: figure and line of contour.
• Study of chiaroscuro: incidence of light on subject: study of light and
shade and different techniques of chiaroscuro.
• Drawing from life: figure and volume. General anatomy:
• Skeleton: segment of bones essential to construction of drawing
• Muscles: reference that models body.
•
Joints: study of figure in a static and dynamic attitude.
Technique: pencil on paper
Duration of each lesson: three hours
(1 hour = 60 minutes)
Students can use their own materials or buy in Rome (we can advise
where).
