Martedì 6 maggio 2014, alle ore 10.00, presso l’Aula Paolo Rosa della Rome University of Fine Arts, la prof.ssa Genny Di Bert, nell’ambito del suo corso di “Fenomenologia delle Arti Contemporanee”, presenta la critica e storica della fotografia Vicki Goldberg.
L’autrice per il suo vasto ed importante lavoro, è stata insignita del premio Infinity Award dell’International Center of Photography di New York e della Missouri Honor Medal.
Vicki Goldberg è conosciuta il tutto il mondo ed ha pubblicato numerosi libri e cataloghi nonchè collaborato con diverse riviste e magazines, tra cui il New York Times.
Sue opere sono state esposte nelle più importanti manifestazioni d’arte in America ed in Europa.
Vicki Goldberg wrote about photography in the New York Times for 13 years. Her most recent book is The White House: The President’s Home in Photographs and History, 250 photographs from the 1840s to 2010 of the house, the presidents, their families, and their involvement with the media and with technology. Her books The Power of Photography: How Photographs Changed Our Lives and Margaret Bourke-White: A Biography were each named one of the Best Books of the Year by the American Library Association, and the anthology she edited, Photography in Print: Writings from 1816 to the Present, was cited in the Wall Street Journal in 2006 as one of the five best books ever written on photography. Vicki Goldberg’s most recent book is The White House: photographs (1840s on), of the house, its residents, and presidents’ involvement with media and technology.
