Expo 2020 Dubai, open Call “Sustainable Fashion Talent” for the design of a gamification proposal for fashion. Deadline October 28, 2021.
As part of the activities put in place for the Rome Videogame Lab edition 2021 and Expo 2020 Dubai, the Lazio Region is promoting the “Sustainable Fashion Talent” program, a collaboration and co-design initiative aimed at involving the protagonists of Game development and Fashion design.
The contest
The starting point for the contest was the participation of the Lazio Region, Unioncamere Lazio and the Camera di Commercio di Roma, together with a representation of SMEs in Lazio, in the fourth edition of “RomeVideoGame Lab – RVGL21“, an international event dedicated to video games and applied games, which will take place at the Studi di Cinecittà from 4 to 7 November.
The event aims to promote the culture and the potential of video games as an enabling factor in both human and digital terms.
Sustainable Fashion Talent
The objective of the “SUSTAINABLE FASHION TALENT” path, which is aimed at already formed teams or individual participants, is the enhancement of the fashion supply chain through video games and/or gamification, in order to build and facilitate access to the international markets ASEAN, MENASA and IORA.
The teams will compete in the creation of the best concept of valorization on international markets of the fashion supply chain and fashion design through video games and/or gamification.
The best projects
The best projects selected will be presented during the “Focus Moda”, an initiative to enhance the fashion sector of the Lazio Region that will take place at the Italian Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai scheduled for early 2022, with the date currently being defined.
Individual experts as well as professionals and companies with expertise in: game/gamification, fashion and fashion design, business modeling, marketing and communication, internationalization can participate.
The field of the challenge is fashion, with particular reference to the themes of sustainability and inclusivity.
The first meeting to share project ideas will take place on November 4 at 3:30 pm at Fellini Hall, Cinecittà Studios. During this meeting, the teams will have the opportunity to meet with experts from the reference sectors, in order to concretize their idea and better focus the concept.
