Alberto Ruggieri was born in Rome where he graduated at the Academy of Fine Arts.
For more than thirty years he has been one of the most active Italian illustrators.
He has created thousands of images, with both traditional and digital techniques, collaborating with graphic studios, advertising agencies, large companies, newspapers, and publishing houses in Italy and abroad.
His illustrations are published in many Italian newspapers and magazines, including Corriere della Sera, Repubblica, L’Espresso, Panorama, Riza Psocosomatica, Il sole 24 Ore, La Stampa, il Messaggero, Liberal, PlayBoy and others. Abroad his works have been chosen by Corriere della Sera, Repubblica, L’Espresso, Panorama, Riza Psocosomatica, Il sole 24 Ore, La Stampa, il Messaggero, Liberal, PlayBoy and others in many countries.
He has collaborated with some of the major advertising agencies as Armando Testa, Saatchi & Saatchi, Roncaglia e Wijkander; among his customers Telecom, Bocconi, Buffetti, Agip, Mercedes.
He has illustrated children’s books and is also the author of comic stories published by Frigidaire and Il Grifo in the nineties.
He has made book covers for Panini Ragazzi, Nuova Eri, Feltrinelli, Editori Riuniti, Mondadori, Sperling & Kupfer, Laterza, Rai–Eri, Giunti, Salani, Il Mulino, Beltz, Wolters Kluwer, Hachette.
He was coordinator of editorial projects for magazines and publishing houses.
His work has received acknowledgments and awards from the Italian Art Directors Club, Print European Regional Design Annual, Biennal of Illustration in Bratislava, Bologna illustrators Exibition, American Illustration.
