Elisa Amoruso

After graduating in Letters (with a focus on Performing Arts), she gained a diploma in script-writing from the Experimental Centre of Cinematography (Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia) in Rome. She made her debut as a script-writer in 2009, with the feature film Good Morning Aman, directed by Claudio Noce and presented at the International Film Critics’ Week at the Venice Film Festival. Among her latest films as script-writer are “Chlorine”, directed by Lamberto Sanfelice, screened in competition at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival, “The Ice Forest”, written and directed by Claudio Noce, and “A Liberal Passion”, co-written and directed by Marco Ponti. In recent years she has written scripts and authored books, including Buongiorno amore, a novel published by Newton Compton and released in June 2013. She directs commercials and short docs for Filmaster.

Her debut feature film as director “Fuoristrada”, earned her a special mention in the Perspectives section at the Rome Film Festival in 2013, and was nominated for the Nastri d’Argento/Silver Ribbons Award as Best Documentary, released in 2013 by Istituto Luce Cinecittà. Her second feature documentary “Strane Straniere”, was shortlisted at the Rome Film Festival in 2016, in the Kino Panorama Italia section, distributed by Luce Cinecittà, it will be coming soon to theatres.
