Francesco Lagi

Francesco Lagi graduated in direction from the Experimental Centre of Cinematography – National School of Film-making (Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia – Scuola Nazionale di Cinema). In 2007, he participated in the making of the group film “4-4-2 The Most Beautiful Game in the World”, produced by Paolo Virzì and Medusa. In 2011, he directed the film “Missione di pace” (Peace Mission), produced by Bianca Film and Rai Cinema and screened at the Venice International Film Critics’ Week.
For both the cinema and TV he has scripted the series “I liceali”. He has also written and directed plays for the theatre. With the Teatrodilina theatre company he has staged: L’asino d’oro (2010); L’amore il vento e la fine del mondo (2012); Zigulì (2013); Banane (2014), Le vacanze dei signori Lagonìa (2015), Gli uccelli migratori (2015).
He has also directed video clips for the musicians and bands Mannarino, Tiromancino, Bugo, and the backstage of the filming of movies (the making of Mia madre / My Mother by Nanni Moretti). His biography also includes a stint as an actor in films by Mazzacurati, Virzì, Moretti, Castellitto. He is the author and director of the web series Connessioni – 10 incontri sentimentali, produced by Cattleya and Repubblica.
