Katia Titolo

Born in Rome, she graduated from secondary school, in Matera, in 1979. Having developed a keen interest in history and the European Avant-garde Art Movements, she moved to Poland, where, after graduating in Painting from the Fine Arts Academy of Wroclaw, she began working in the field of visual and performance arts, participating in numerous art projects in Wroclaw.
Having specialised in painting, restoration of paintings and semiotics of art, she developed a great passion for the theatre, its history and the different forms of theatrical representation. She worked in the field of theatre set design collaborating, on a regular basis, with various artists and productions, including CAPOTRAVE and INFINITO srl, for which, inter alia, she designed the sets for Andrea Cosentino’s “NON QUI NON ORA” – Teatro Palladium, Festival Teatri di Vetro – produced by Infinito srl, Paolo Sorrentino’s “HANNO TUTTI RAGIONE”, starring Iaia Forte – also produced by Infinito srl, Stefano Benni’s “ PECORE NERE”, produced by Infinito srl, Mittelfest 2016, “MISTERMAN” – Compagnia Capotrave, “NEL BOSCO”- Compagnia Capotrave, “FANTASTICO ITALIANO” by Simone Faloppa\Circolo Alekseev –Armunia “Inequilibrio” Festival – Castiglioncello AR, “VIRUS” Compagnia Capotrave, “LOURDES” Compagnia Capotrave, with Andrea Cosentino – winner of the Teatri del Sacro 2015 Award, “CLAN MACBETH” Compagnia Teatro delle Ombre – Teatro degli Avvaloranti – Città della Pieve (Perugia) – produced by the Rome-based Teatro Eliseo.
Since 2016, she has collaborated in staging “FIGARO! OPERA CAMION” and “DON GIOVANNI – OPERA CAMION”, with set designs by Gianluigi Toccafondo, produced by the Rome Opera Theatre.
