Laura Palmieri

Born in Naples in 1967, she was trained in Rome where she studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts; in 1990, after receiving the I.S.A. diploma in Textile Art, she obtained the teaching qualification for Art Education. Her experience in the management of projects and groups has developed particularly in the organization and management of courses, collaborating with individual artists, academies, associations, schools, prisons, foundations, archives and other public institutions such as the Carlo Bilotti Museum in Rome; the Faculty of Conservation of Cultural Heritage of the University of Tuscia in Viterbo; the “Museum inside the school” at the Liceo Scientifico Bafile in L’Aquila, following the earthquake; as co-tutor at the Museo Laboratorio di Arte Contemporanea at the University La Sapienza, in the Master for curators of contemporary art. Since 2019 she is a teacher and referent for the creative manipulative group of the Istituto comprensivo Via Acquaroni in Tor Bella Monaca, Rome, with which she has been creating and coordinating the “Filo d’Arianna” project for the realization of shared works. She participated in the activities of the Oreste Project, which was invited by Harald Szeemann at the Venice Biennale in 1999. Recent exhibitions include “The smile of the spring”, 2021, exhibition and catalog curated by Ilari Valbonesi, at Collegium Artisticum Terezije bb, Sarajevo; “Artisti collezionisti”, 2020, at Galleria d’Arte Moderna di Roma Capitale; “Men at Work / Women Work Better”, 2018, Bibo’s Place, Rome; Macro Asilo, Rome.
