Rosalia Palazzolo

She has a long-standing career as a teacher, from 1970 until 31 August 2010. She has taught the following subjects at the IV Liceo Artistico Statale “A. Caravillani” secondary art school in Rome: • Figure drawing (academy section) • Artistic Anatomy (academy section) • Graphic design (graphic-visual section) • Professional drawing (graphic-visual section) • Visual education (graphic-visual section). Nominated a so-called instrumental “Image” figure, she curated the exhibition events at the school’s L4 space; activities provided in the school’s curriculum. She also managed the participation by pupils of the school in external events and art competitions. In connection with the regional project “Saper i Sapori; i disturbi del comportamento alimentare” (Knowledge & Taste: Eating Disorders), she held a course of Photography and developed two themes “Still live” and “Il te di Alice” (Alice’s Tea), later exhibited in the L4 space during the “I giorni dell’Arte” Art Days. For the regional IFTS course “Tecnico superiore per la Comunicazione dei Beni Culturali” (Technician for Communicating about the Cultural Heritage) she held courses on Theory of Form and Visual Perception.
She has participated in many refresher courses: • Eating Disorders, at Tor Vergata University – Rome. • “The Iconography of Christ”, at the Pontifical Lateran University. • “The Theology of Liberation”, at the Pontifical Lateran University. She has also participated in nationwide artistic events, including: • Rome Quadriennale • Biennale d’Arte, Bari • “Arte per Arte” • Le Cascine, Florence • Poema sinergico – Azione + Evento (Synergic Poem – Action + Event) Techne Gallery, Florence.
She has curated the graphic design of contemporary art monographies and catalogues of painting exhibitions and takes an interest in graphic illustration, graphic design and analog and digital photography.
