Preparatory course in Painting for the study of the fine arts.<\/h3>\n

 
\nThis course aims to introduce students to the study of painting, using different techniques, styles and materials. Participants are required to have an artistic training in drawing or have successfully completed the Creative Lab in Artistic Anatomy for Comics & Illustration (14-18 July 2025).<\/strong> The course includes theoretical and practical lectures\/workshops.<\/p>\n

Course objective:<\/strong>
\nTo help students to get in contact with the artistic atmosphere within an academy of fine arts; to learn gesture drawing and painting techniques. During the course it will be presented the methodology of image decomposition and its analysis, to gain and develop the processes of simplification in composition and of formal abstraction.
\nAt the end of the course, a certificate of attendance is issued to those who have attended at least 80% of the lessons, for a possible recognition of 2 ECTS.<\/p>\n\n

Day 1<\/strong>
\nMORNING (3 hours) \u2013 Introduction to drawing, chiaroscuro, proportion of the human figure and gesture drawing techniques.
\nAFTERNOON (3 hours) – Colour theory, introduction to the use of painting materials, study of the development of an artistic work through the stylistic process of simplification of the figure, application of compositional techniques.<\/p>\n

Day 2<\/strong>
\nMORNING (3 hours) \u2013 Gesture drawing techniques and the human figure in artistic drawing.
\nAFTERNOON (3 hours) \u2013 Theories of composition, decomposition of forms and study of painting through colour and simplification of the image. Abstract synthesis in painting.<\/p>\n

Day 3<\/strong>
\nMORNING (3 hours) \u2013 Live drawing with the model.
\nAFTERNOON (3 hour) \u2013 Breakdown of forms and study of painting through colour and simplification of the image. Abstract synthesis in painting.<\/p>\n

Day 4<\/strong>
\nMORNING (3 hours) \u2013 Visit at museum tbc
\nAFTERNOON (3 hour) \u2013 Painting workshop<\/p>\n

Day 5<\/strong>
\nMORNING (3 hours) \u2013 Painting workshop
\nAFTERNOON (3 hour) \u2013 Painting workshop, conclusion and final revision<\/p>\n

MATERIAL:<\/strong>
\nOil colours for painting (e.g. Maimeri 20 ml):
\n\u00b7 titanium white (at least 2 tubes of white colors)
\n\u00b7 primary yellow
\n\u00b7 magenta or primary red
\n\u00b7 cyan or primary blue
\n\u00b7 natural umber
\n\u00b7 ivory black<\/p>\n

Flat-shaped synthetic brushes with short handle.
\nLarge size: number 18 or 20; medium size: number 14 or 16; small size: number 6 or 8; small size: number 2.<\/p>\n

HB and 6B pencil<\/p>\n

Quantity 1: A3 watercolor paper pad (about 12 sheets)
\nQuantity 1: A3 drawing pad (or similar size 30 x 40 cm) approximately 250 g, 20 sheets.

\n\t LECTURER - FABRIZIO DELL'ARNO<\/strong>\t \t\n \n\t \t<\/span>\n\t <\/a>\n\t <\/h4>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/article>\n\n\n

Fabrizio Dell\u2019Arno was born in S\u00e0o Gaetano do Sul (S\u00e0o Paulo, Brazil) in 1977.<\/p>\n

He graduated in \u201cAdvertising and Communication\u201d at IMES University (SCSul) in 1999, he attended the postgraduate course in art history at the FAAP (SP) faculty. He began his teaching career in the teaching staff of the \u201cPueri Domus Un.Jardim\u201d Lyceum in Santo Andre (SP) as a professor of history of art and painting. He worked as a professor of artistic drawing at the IMES-SP University, Brazil. He obtained the specialization in scenography in the \u201ccenographic espago, J.C.Serroni\u201d, working in the scenographic sector in theater, cinema and TV projects. In 2003 he moved to New York, where he studied painting and drawing at the SVA (School Visual Arts), returning to Brazil he attended the painting studio of Master Rubens Matuck, in Sao Paulo. In 2005 he obtained his master\u2019s degree in Sculpture from RUFA, where he currently works as a professor of painting technology in the academic course and professor of the free course of painting and drawing.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \n\n
