Students will be provided with the basic knowledge needed to create a photographic story. During field trips to different parts of the city, themed photo reportages will be developed using a series of digital black and white or color photographs. The course includes both theoretical and practical lessons, combining analysis of the students\u2019 work with the study of photographic language and a selection of historical photographic experiences.
\nParticular attention will be given to the history of photojournalism, from the FSA and Photo League experience to today\u2019s multimedia challenges.
\nThe programme covers the classic reportage questions (Who, What, When, Where, Why); detailed study of equipment; planning a reportage (Research and Revision); and addresses issues of ethics and professional responsibility.

\nHe graduated in Psychology in 1988 from the University \u201cLa Sapienza.\u201d
\nFrom 1989 to 1992 he studied at the Photography School of Visual and Performing Arts in London, winning the Merit Award in the BIPP\/FUJI Student Photographic Competition on the theme \u201cThe New Optimism.\u201d
\nIn 1993 he won first prize with the group \u201cScale Dorsali\u201d in the international competition for young artists at the Maastricht Biennale, with sound installations and video art.
\nSince 1996 he has collaborated with major national and international newspapers and magazines and has been a registered journalist. From 2005 to 2010 he taught photography at Richmond University in Rome.
\nIn 2010, he collaborated with the International and European Forum for Migration Research on the project \u201cLabour Migration Governance in Contemporary Europe.\u201d<\/a>
\nFrom 2010 to 2014 he was the official photographer for the press office of the National Bar Council.
\nIn 2012 he worked on a photojournalistic investigation of the socio-economic situation in Italy and Europe during the years of the financial crisis, collaborating closely with journalist Angelo Mastrandrea.
\nFrom 2013 to 2019 he taught photojournalism at the Rome University of Fine Arts.
\nIn 2019 he co-produced, together with photographer Alessandro Parente and artist Libre Vagabund, the project \u201cWater Box,\u201d working with indigenous communities on Mexico\u2019s Pacific coast for the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art, WA.
\nHe is currently a stringer for the agency Polaris Images <\/a> and a staff member of Buenavista photo<\/a>, a network of freelance Italian photographers.
\nHis personal documentary work focuses on photographing people and places, starting from daily life stories to explore social and cultural issues.
