“Urban Synaesthesia”<\/strong> is the theme launched for the 2023 edition of the TRACKS OF FREEDOM project, in collaboration with the prestigious SVA \u2013 School of Visual Arts in New York.<\/span><\/a><\/h3>\n

 
\nNew York, a cosmopolitan city and symbol of freedom, transforms into the ideal setting to gather the energy and dreams of our students. Ten days immersed in the world of visual design, featuring talks, studio visits, and social and cultural insights with MOMA and The New York Times.
\nThe workshop that the students participated in aims to interpret the theme of Freedom through a synesthetic lens<\/strong>, adopting a multidisciplinary design approach to represent the electrifying dynamism, symbolic strength, and creativity of this city. All techniques and languages of contemporary communication were utilized: brand identity, advertising, unconventional, motion graphics, interaction and multimedia design, photography, and video<\/strong>. Every hybridization, convergence, and experimentation of languages is welcomed, in the spirit that characterizes the entire RUFA Academy.
\nFrom May 9 to 19, 2023, eleven students guided by professors and designers Mario Rullo and Emanuele Cappelli, accompanied by our Academic Director Arch. Fabio Mongelli, experienced a full immersion combining study and design projects. For RUFA students, the doors of the School of Visual Arts in New York, one of the most prestigious communication schools in the world, reopened for an exchange experience<\/em> that allowed them to interpret contemporaneity in its essence.<\/p>\n

In this comprehensive vision, the goal is to reshape the theme of “Freedom” to represent the electrifying dynamism, symbolic strength, and creative force of New York<\/strong>, using all techniques and languages of contemporary communication: from brand identity to advertising.
\nThe works produced within the TRACKS OF FREEDOM 2023 project were then included in an exhibition and cognitive journey<\/strong> at the exhibition space RUFA Space<\/a> at Pastificio Cerere, in the heart of the San Lorenzo district, a true exhibition titled URBAN SYNESTHESIA<\/strong><\/a> to showcase the fruits of this unique professional and educational experience to the general public.<\/p>\n

Congratulations to the young designers who were the protagonists of this project: Lorenzo Bernardi, Giorgia D’Alessandro, Gaia Formigari, Francesco Paolo Incantalupo, Matilde Mion, Caroline Vikanes Moschin, Adriana Pagano, Mateo Proietti, Bianca Ricci, Serena Tobaldo, Beatrice Vio-Genova, and the photographer and videomaker Guido Leon Salerno Aletta.
