On Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 April, RUFA students of Sustainable Fashion Design will take part in the Romantica Station event, promoted by the Rome Chamber of Commerce. An initiative that aims to re-launch the image of the capital as a place of contemporary study and research in the fashion world. Admission is free.<\/h3>\n

 
\nSustainable Fashion Design<\/a> students Benedetta Bertoncini, Davide Amato, Elizia Cinquedita, Antonio Tedeschi, Mattia Siciliano e Aiza Bayishbekova<\/strong> will participate with their work in the first edition of Romantica Station on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 April in the Vibia Sabina and Adriano Temple Hall, headquarters of the Rome Chamber of Commerce.
\nThe event stems from the will of the Rome Chamber of Commerce<\/a><\/strong> to create a decisive change in the representation of fashion for Rome: a place that symbolises a creativity capable of always renewing and reinventing itself.
\nThe main objective is to promote the city as a laboratory station on the themes of technology, sustainability, and contemporary creativity.
\nThe event will feature workshops, talks and handicrafts that will attract the curiosity of enthusiasts, citizens and tourists. <\/p>\n

The collection: “Il Giardino Planetario”<\/span><\/h4>\n

The theme of this edition focuses on the relationship between Craft and Artificial Intelligence<\/strong>.
\nRUFA students will present a selection of copies designed for the project “Giardino Planetario”<\/strong>, a Fashion Performance to be held on 13 June 2024 at the RUFA headquarters in Via Giuseppe Libetta.
\nInspired by the thought of the philosopher-gardener Gilles Clement<\/em>, – \u201cdo as much as possible for nature and as little as possible against it\u201d<\/em> – the \u201cGiardino Planetario\u201d collection refers to a metaphorical place that emphasises our belonging to a perfect ecosystem: the homo ecologicus<\/em> of Clement must follow the example of the tree, which during its life cycle returns to the environment the same energy it borrowed previously.
\nThe entire creative process of collation was a concrete exercise in eco-design<\/em> for the students, who used sustainable practices and materials:
\nthe fabrics used to make the garments were kindly provided by RUFA partners Manteco<\/a><\/strong> and Berto<\/a><\/strong>, the eco print on natural silk was made by the students with the support of botanist Anna Roberti, while the 3D ornamental interventions were realised thanks to the RUFA Design Lab.<\/p>\n
