We are pleased to highlight the following call promoted by CNR, aimed at all our RUFA students. <\/p>\n

ScienzaInCorto is a festival dedicated to short films created by students of film schools and academies, with the aim of bringing young people closer to the world of scientific research through the audiovisual language<\/strong>. Organized by the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Cultural Heritage of the National Research Council (CNR DSU), in collaboration with Cinema Aquila in Rome, the festival celebrates cinema as a tool to communicate science and stimulate reflections on social and cultural issues.<\/p>\n

The festival invites participants to explore four highly topical themes:<\/strong> fears and hopes for the future<\/strong>, connections and solitude in the digital reality<\/strong>, the transition from adolescence to adulthood<\/strong>, and the expressive forms of urban art<\/strong>. Each short film, unpublished and with a maximum duration of 10 minutes, may address one of these topics, enhancing the creativity and personal perspective of the authors.<\/p>\n

The final event will take place in mid-April 2025 at Cinema Aquila, a historic movie theater in Rome. During the evening, the six finalist short films selected by a panel of experts will be screened, and the three winners<\/strong> will be awarded. The prizes consist of a unique opportunity: a curricular internship at the CNR Press Office in Rome<\/strong>, to deepen the relationship between science and communication.<\/p>\n

To participate, students must submit their short films, accompanied by the application form and the signed release, by February 28, 2025<\/strong>. The material must be uploaded to the official festival cloud and sent via email to segreteria.dsu@cnr.it<\/a><\/strong>. Registration is free and open to students up to 30 years old.<\/p>\n
