Sunday 16 November 2025, at 3:30 p.m., at the Offprint Paris fair (Paris Photo Week), photographer Lina Pallotta will be in conversation with curator Michele Bertolino to present the new book Tongue on Flames<\/em>, published by NERO Editions.<\/p>\n When:<\/strong> Sunday 16 November 2025, 3:30\u20134:00 p.m. Tongue on Flames<\/em> celebrates New York\u2019s poetic culture of the 1990s and 2000s, with a particular focus on poetry slam nights and the experimental energy of the Nuyorican Poets Caf\u00e9. The volume brings Pallotta\u2019s images into dialogue with key voices from the scene, capturing the humour, rhythm, and sense of community of underground poetry. Edited by Michele Bertolino<\/strong> and published by NERO Editions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n An Italian photographer active between Italy and the United States, Lina Pallotta is known for her long-term projects and her ability to portray identities and communities through an intimate and political visual language. Among her most recognised works, Porpora<\/em> (NERO Editions, 2021), which documents thirty years in the life of trans activist Porpora Marcasciano, is considered one of the most significant photographic testimonies of the Italian LGBTQIA+ scene.<\/p>\n Pallotta\u2019s work intertwines documentary photography, visual culture, and editorial practices \u2014 key themes in RUFA courses such as Photography and Audiovisual<\/a>, Visual & Innovation Design<\/a>, and Film Arts<\/a>.
