The initiative represents an important orientation opportunity for students interested in pursuing a <strong>Master\u2019s or Ph.D. in the USA<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting will take place on <strong>Wednesday, March 11, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM<\/strong>, in <strong>room G13 (via Libetta)<\/strong> and is open to all students. The presentation of the Fulbright Program is particularly addressed to students in the <strong>third year of First-Level Academic Diplomas<\/strong> and the <strong>second year of Second-Level Academic Diplomas<\/strong>, but participation is open to the entire student community.<\/p>\n<p>The event will be structured in two sessions.<\/p>\n<h5>FIRST SESSION \u2013 Prof. Pouya Afshar<\/h5>\n<p>The first session, from <strong>2:00 PM to approximately 2:30 PM<\/strong>, will take place <strong>in person and in English<\/strong> and will be led by <strong>Prof. Pouya Afshar<\/strong>, Fulbright Specialist. During the meeting, Afshar will present his professional background and showcase a selection of his works. He is currently <strong>Associate Professor of Art and Design at the University of Massachusetts Lowell<\/strong>. Born in Tehran, he studied Character Animation at the California Institute of the Arts and obtained an <strong>MFA in Animation and Digital Media from the University of California, Los Angeles<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p>Throughout his career, he has exhibited in museums, galleries, and art fairs in the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. His works are part of the permanent collections of the <strong>Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA)<\/strong>, the <strong>Denver Art Museum<\/strong>, and the <strong>Detroit Institute of Arts<\/strong>. He has also delivered lectures at <strong>Stanford University, Harvard University, Princeton University, University of Southern California, School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University<\/strong>, and the <strong>University of California, Los Angeles<\/strong>. His activities also include collaborations on film, animation, and multimedia projects, as well as an extensive portfolio that includes animated series, graphic novels, comics, and children\u2019s books.  <\/p>\n<p><em>His website can be consulted at: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pouyaafshar.com\" target=\"_blank\">www.pouyaafshar.com<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n<h5>SECOND SESSION \u2013 Dr. Cambriani<\/h5>\n<p>The second session, starting at <strong>2:30 PM<\/strong>, will take place <strong>online and in Italian<\/strong> and will be led by <strong>Dr. Cambriani<\/strong>. The presentation will provide an overview of Fulbright opportunities for the <strong>2027\/2028 academic year<\/strong>, aimed at AFAM graduates interested in continuing their studies in the United States with a Master\u2019s degree or a Ph.D. <\/p>\n<p>During the presentation, participants will learn about the structure of the <strong>U.S. higher education system<\/strong>, the <strong>admission requirements<\/strong>, and the <strong>application procedures<\/strong> both for universities and for the Fulbright Program. The activities of the <strong>Fulbright Commission<\/strong> and the <strong>EducationUSA network<\/strong> will also be presented.
