On World Creativity and Innovation Day, a national project launches to showcase short films by students from the main Italian universities.<\/p>\n
To mark World Creativity and Innovation Day, Rai Cinema is launching Studenti in Corto \u2013 a space for the talents of the future, an editorial and cultural project dedicated to promoting young authors and emerging languages<\/strong>, created in collaboration with the world of Italian universities.<\/p>\n Creativity and innovation have always gone hand in hand, and cinema represents one of their most authentic mirrors. In an increasingly complex context, developing new ideas and exploring uncharted paths becomes fundamental for imagining the future.<\/p>\n It is with this spirit that \u201cStudenti in Corto \u2013 a space for the talents of the future\u201d was born, an initiative that reflects Rai Cinema’s commitment to supporting emerging creativity and promoting new voices in the Italian audiovisual landscape<\/strong>, contributing to building an ecosystem capable of connecting education, industry, and the public.<\/p>\n From Tuesday 21 April, a selection of 22 short films produced by students from some of the leading Italian universities and film schools is available for streaming on the Rai Cinema Channel platform. For each university involved, one work was identified, selected by Rai Cinema from those proposed by the partner institutions: Griffith Film and Television Academy (Rome); ALMED \u2013 Postgraduate School in Media, Communication and Performance – Universit\u00e0 Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (Milan); CITEM – University of Bologna; Civica Scuola di Cinema Luchino Visconti (Milan); IED European Institute of Design; Michelangelo Antonioni Film Institute; Audiovisual Storytelling Laboratory-LABSAV at the University of Salerno; LUISS Guido Carli (Rome); NABA, Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti; Polytechnic University of Turin – Cinema and Digital Media Engineering; Rome Film Academy; RUFA \u2013 Rome University of Fine Arts; Sapienza University of Rome; Ca\u2019 Foscari University of Venice; University of Turin; Suor Orsola Benincasa University (Naples); University of Salento; University of Genoa; University of Pisa; University of Udine \u2013 DAMS; IULM University (Milan); Roma Tre University – DAMS.<\/p>\n In this context, RUFA is pleased to announce the selection of the short film Latte e Biscotti by Sabrina La Macchia, a Film graduate.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cStudenti in Corto \u2013 a space for the talents of the future\u201d was created with the aim of building a bridge between universities and the audiovisual industry \u2013 declares Paolo Del Brocco, CEO of Rai Cinema \u2013 to offer students the opportunity to engage with the public and see their work valued within a structured editorial context. Supporting new generations not only in the creative phase but also in their journey of growth and visibility has always been a central commitment for Rai Cinema. It means identifying new languages and perspectives that can prove capable of renewing cinematic storytelling and interpreting the present from different points of view. Investing in the new generations is, for us, a way to contribute to the future of Italian cinema.\u201d<\/p>\n Throughout the year, the selected short films will also remain available online for free<\/strong> within a dedicated section, forming an editorial space designed to support and showcase the work of young authors.
