{"id":154036,"date":"2026-06-16T10:03:09","date_gmt":"2026-06-16T08:03:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unirufa.it\/?p=154036"},"modified":"2026-06-16T10:18:45","modified_gmt":"2026-06-16T08:18:45","slug":"fenice-mito-e-identita-una-masterclass-con-eugenio-tibaldi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unirufa.it\/en\/2026\/06\/16\/fenice-mito-e-identita-una-masterclass-con-eugenio-tibaldi\/","title":{"rendered":"Phoenix, Myth and Identity: a Masterclass with Eugenio Tibaldi"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Fine Arts Masterclass with artist Eugenio Tibaldi: the Phoenix as a symbol of transformation, resilience and rebirth.<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\nA journey through myth, personal identity and social imagination animated the Fine Arts Masterclass led by artist <strong>Eugenio Tibaldi<\/strong>, engaging RUFA Fine Arts Master&#8217;s students in a collective research project dedicated to the figure of the Phoenix.<\/p>\n<p>A universal symbol of transformation, resilience and rebirth, the Phoenix became the starting point for an investigation that spanned cultures, eras and different visual languages. Drawing from ancient iconographies and contemporary reinterpretations, the class built a shared archive of references from diverse traditions around the world, bringing memory, imagination and artistic research into dialogue.<\/p>\n<h4>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #80379b;\">Starting from this wealth of images and meanings, each student was invited to imagine their own possible Phoenix: a creature capable of embodying both personal strength and vulnerability, transforming myth into a tool for reflecting on individual and collective identity.<\/span><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\nThe masterclass also formed part of the research project that Eugenio Tibaldi is developing with inmates at the <strong>Rebibbia Women&#8217;s Prison<\/strong>, expanding a reflection that intertwines art, social inclusion and the possibility of change.<\/p>\n<p>Drawing, printing, cutting and assembling marked the various stages of the workshop. Through the use of paper, archival images and pop-up structures, the Phoenixes gradually took shape, transforming the classroom into a space for experimentation and collective production.<\/p>\n<div class=\"embed-responsive embed-responsive-4by3\"><a title=\"Masterclass di Fine Arts Masterclass con Eugenio Tibaldi\" href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/unirufa\/albums\/72177720334060984\" data-flickr-embed=\"true\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"embed-responsive-item\" src=\"\nhttps:\/\/live.staticflickr.com\/65535\/55314512742_700848e492_h.jpg\" alt=\"\"Masterclass di Computer Animation con Alessandro Contenta\"\" \/><\/a><script async src=\"\/\/embedr.flickr.com\/assets\/client-code.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/div>\n<p>\u00a0<br \/>\nThroughout the programme, the classroom became a genuine working studio, where individual visions began to interact and ultimately came together in a large collective installation. Students experimented with scale, suspension, light and space, exploring how these symbolic creatures could inhabit the exhibition environment and engage with the audience.<\/p>\n<p>The masterclass provided an opportunity to explore the potential of art as a tool for research, dialogue and the construction of shared meanings.
