He was a chronicler of American Pop Art and the New York scene from the end of the 1970s onwards, a chronicler of contemporary art that was translated all over the world. He was probably the closest chronicler to the protagonists of the strongest season of New York culture.<\/p>\n

He was a guest in Rufa on the occasion of a talk on Leo Castelli in 2019<\/a>. Alan Jones’ book “Leo Castelli. The Italian who invented art in America” published in Italy by Castelvecchi was a real publishing case. It was presented in Rome in 2007 at the Galleria Nazionale d’Arte Moderna. In the metropolis of NY, in addition to Castelli, Warhol, Jasper Johns and Rauschenberg, he also met Jeff Koons, Cindy Sherman, David Salle, Julian Schnabel and many other artists who would mark the history of contemporary culture. <\/p>\n

Alan Jones has also been curator, organizer of exhibitions at some of the most important international museums: the Cartier Foundation in Paris, the Guggenheim Museum in New York, and many others.
