The project Riso 02 – San Lorenzo<\/strong> will be on show in Milan<\/strong>, as part of the exhibition “The graphic arts profession – today”<\/a><\/strong>, from 26 November 2021<\/strong> until 23 January 2022<\/strong>, with free access.<\/p>\n

Even in 2020, when the world had to deal seriously with the Covid-19 pandemic, RUFA<\/strong>‘s artistic production<\/strong> never stopped. In different ways, sometimes generating completely innovative management models, students and lecturers, as is customary in the Academy’s educational vision, have continued to exchange ideas and experiences. <\/p>\n

The result of this action was also measured by the results achieved. As part of the European Design Award<\/strong>, two different publications received significant recognition, such as the “Silver Award”<\/strong> in the “Annual Report”<\/strong> category and the “Bronze Award”<\/strong> in the “Student’s project”<\/strong> category.<\/p>\n

The exhibition<\/h3>\n

The exhibition\/workshop<\/strong> aims to investigate the nature of the craft<\/strong> of graphics<\/strong> in a contemporary key, curated by Marco Tortoioli Ricci<\/strong> and in collaboration with AIAP – Associazione italiana design della comunicazione visiva<\/strong>. <\/p>\n

Through the presentation of about 90 projects<\/strong> the aim is to investigate the contemporary nature of the graphic design profession in Italy,<\/strong> highlighting not only the content and visual language<\/strong> that characterises the graphic production of talented young people, but also the administrative and fiscal difficulties in organising themselves to sustain themselves and continue to experiment.<\/p>\n

Awards<\/h3>\n

The editorial products with which the awards were won are respectively the Annual Report 2018<\/a><\/strong>, centred on the theme of Memory<\/strong> in celebration of 20 years since the founding of the Academy, and Riso 02 – San Lorenzo<\/strong><\/a>, created by more than 80 students from the Methodology of Design<\/strong> course (second year of the three-year course at Graphic Design<\/a><\/strong> and the second year of the Comics and Illustration<\/a><\/strong> course), produced as part of the annual project on the identity of the San Lorenzo<\/strong> district in Rome.<\/p>\n

The aim of the Annual Report 2018<\/strong>, created by the agency Intorno design<\/a><\/strong>, is to celebrate the continuous renewal<\/strong> of the original impulse<\/strong>, narrating the main projects and events of the year in question. Riso 02 – San Lorenzo<\/strong> is instead a mosaic of glances<\/strong>, points of view<\/strong> and short visual narratives<\/strong> on the visual identity of Rome’s San Lorenzo district. The book, printed entirely in risograph<\/strong> by Risograph Roma<\/strong> and Tipografare<\/strong> and bound by La Legatoria<\/strong>, presents and recounts the neighbourhood with the still visible traces of its past and the rapidly changing present.
