The selections for the thirteenth edition of the International Screenplay Award “MATTADOR”<\/strong> dedicated to Matteo Caenazzo and aimed at young Italian and foreign authors<\/strong> aged between 16 and 30 are now open. <\/p>\n

Mattador Award<\/h3>\n

The contest, conceived and promoted by the MATTADOR<\/strong> cultural association, was created with the intention of bringing out and enhancing new talents who choose to approach a professional and artistic<\/strong> path in the field of film writing.<\/p>\n

In this context, over the years, the award has achieved a consolidated reliability that has made it a point of reference in the film industry and for production companies in search of new talent. This is confirmed by the results achieved by the winners of the various editions who have established themselves in the professional world. <\/p>\n

The four sections of the award are: MATTADOR prize for best screenplay for a feature film, 5,000 euros; MATTADOR prize for best subject, training grant and 1,500 euros for the best development work at the end of the training course; CORTO86 prize for best screenplay for a short film, training grant with the production of a short film based on the winning screenplay; “DOLLY Illustrare il cinema” prize for best story told through images, training grant with a possible further prize of 1,000 euros.<\/p>\n

Submission of entries is scheduled from 15 February to 15 April 2022<\/strong>, through the Mattador Prize<\/strong><\/a> platform.
