Sim Levi Tezel wins the Mattador Award

RUFA Cinema Alumna wins the Best Feature Film Screenplay Award with her project Constantinople.

A new important recognition for the talent of Sim Levi Tezel, RUFA Cinema Alumna, winner of the 17th edition of the Mattador International Screenwriting Award in the Best Feature Film Screenplay category with her project Constantinople.

Originally from Istanbul, Sim moved to Rome at the age of eighteen, driven by her passion for writing and her desire to build a career in the world of cinema. It was here that she began her studies at RUFA – Rome University of Fine Arts, developing and strengthening her own authorial voice and the skills connected to screenwriting and filmmaking.

In the following years, she continued to develop her professional path by working in the directing department on several film productions, collaborating on the writing of short films, and focusing on the development of her first feature film.

With Constantinople, Sim has now received one of the main awards presented by the Mattador Award, an international competition dedicated to screenwriting and aimed at emerging talents in cinema.

The award ceremony took place in the Sale Apollinee of Teatro La Fenice in Venice, where Sim received the Mattador Award for Best Feature Film Screenplay.

This achievement marks another important milestone in her authorial and professional journey and highlights the value of writing as a starting point for shaping new cinematic visions.
