Attendance is compulsory for all courses, and each lecturer will record attendance in accordance with the syllabus and the credits awarded. To be admitted to the examination for each individual subject, students must have attended at least 80% of the total scheduled teaching hours. At the beginning of each teaching period, students must enrol in the subjects they intend to attend using the register provided by the Academic Office. Any request to attend classes taught by a different lecturer for the same subject must be submitted to the Programme Council within thirty days of the beginning of the teaching period. Students enrolled in a subject may sit the examination during any scheduled examination session after the course has ended, including after the end of the academic year in which the course was attended. All subjects may be taken over two academic years, provided that this is included in the syllabus submitted by the lecturer. For all educational activities — programme-specific, foundational, core, related or supplementary — that are taken over two academic years, attendance must be recorded in separate academic years.
Students are required to bring a valid identity document, their examination record booklet and a copy of their study plan to the examination, so that the Examination Board can verify that their registration is in order.
Students may not sit examinations for subjects in which they have not enrolled through their study plan. Students may not enrol in the same academic year in both a subject and its subsequent iteration.
