The RUFA Team at the Race for the Cure
On Sunday, May 10, RUFA took part in the Race for the Cure, Komen Italia’s flagship event and one of the most important initiatives dedicated to the fight against breast cancer.
For this edition, the Academy participated with its own RUFA Team, engaging the academic community in an initiative that brings together health, solidarity, and shared commitment.
Taking part in the Race for the Cure is part of RUFA’s ongoing commitment to social sustainability and to promoting a culture of well-being, prevention, and care. Running or walking together was a meaningful way to support scientific research, early diagnosis projects, and awareness-raising activities dedicated to women.
A Team for Prevention
Taking part in the Race means standing alongside the Women in Pink, women who are facing or have faced breast cancer and who, through their stories, remind us of the importance of prevention, sharing, and mutual support.
The RUFA Team chose to take part in order to contribute to a simple yet essential message: prevention is an act of awareness, care, and collective responsibility.
Through this initiative, the RUFA community transformed its creative energy into a meaningful expression of social engagement, reaffirming the value of an Academy that is committed not only to education, but also to people, health, and making a positive impact on the local community.
Creativity, Community, and Social Commitment
RUFA’s participation in the Race for the Cure was also an opportunity to strengthen its sense of belonging and community by sharing an experience that was open, inclusive, and deeply human.
Students, faculty, and staff took part in the initiative with the spirit of those who believe in the power of teamwork and in the value of small gestures when they become collective actions.
RUFA would like to thank everyone who took part and helped bring the Academy’s name to an event that, every year, brings together thousands of people around a shared goal: supporting life, research, and prevention.
