Thesis Support Desk

The Thesis Support Service is dedicated to students preparing their written thesis.

RUFA provides graduating students with methodological support designed to facilitate the different stages of thesis development, from defining its structure to preparing the final text that will be presented and discussed during the thesis examination.

The Thesis Support Service is available at the following times:
Via Lariana 8: Monday and Thursday, 11.00 am–3.00 pm; Wednesday, 2.00 pm–5.00 pm
Via Libetta 7: Tuesday, 11.00 am–3.00 pm; Friday, 2.00 pm–5.00 pm

During these hours, the service coordinator – working in coordination with the supervisor and co-supervisor – provides guidance and useful suggestions on various aspects of the thesis: from selecting and organising topics to structuring the text, correctly citing sources, compiling the bibliography, and carrying out revision and editing.

Plagiarism check

As part of the thesis submission procedure, all theses undergo a plagiarism check using Compilatio Magister, a tool widely used in higher education to verify the originality of written work.

The system analyses the document by comparing it with a wide range of online sources, academic publications and databases of works already available on the platform. Once the analysis is complete, the software generates a report highlighting any matches with other texts and flagging sections that require further review, helping to identify incorrectly referenced quotations or possible inappropriate use of third-party content.

The aim of this check is not to penalise students, but to promote good academic writing practices by encouraging the correct use of sources and respect for copyright.

Students may also request a free preliminary self-check of their thesis using Compilatio Studium, the version of the software designed for students. This tool allows them to review their work before official submission, identify any issues and correct them in good time.

To book the service and request the access code for Studium, please email the Service Coordinator.

The service does not handle the administrative requirements related to submitting the final qualification application, which must be completed exclusively through the Academic Office.
