“Il Nome di Hope”: RUFA Students at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival

The short film, produced by Fai CISL Nazionale, addresses a delicate and fundamental issue: the conditions of immigrant workers who live in ghettos and are often subjected to exploitation and illegal labour recruitment. It tells the true story of Hope, a young Nigerian agricultural worker who died in a fire in the Borgo Mezzanone ghetto (Foggia) five years ago.
With a duration of 15 minutes, the work combines cinema, animation and illustration to raise awareness of one of the most urgent social issues.
The presentation in Venice, at the Hotel Excelsior, highlighted the social and cultural value of the project: a tangible example of how audiovisual language can build bridges between art and civic engagement.
