Anke Feuchtenberger: Compagna cuculo – Exhibition of original boards from the graphic novel by Anke Feuchtenberger *Compagna cuculo* (original title: *Genossin Kuckuck*, Reprodukt, Berlin 2023), translated into Italian by Mariagiorgia Ulbar for Coconino Press (2024), with the support of the Goethe-Institut translation grant program.

There are truths, sometimes even those of history, that can only be told in the form of hallucination or dream. Rooted in this certainty, *Compagna cuculo* is at once a coming-of-age novel, a raw examination of a collective past, and a hymn to a fascinating, fragile, and terrifying nature. In this monumental work, which the author has been developing over the past two decades, animals often blend with humans, sprouting allegories whose interpretation is as necessary as it is indefinitely open.

Vernissage

At the exhibition opening on January 22, 2025, at 7:00 PM, the artist will be present and will also participate in the talk *Graphic storytelling for collective memory* at 7:30 PM (in Italian/German with simultaneous translation). On the day of the vernissage, the exhibition will remain open until 10:00 PM.
