Claudio Spuri works in Rome as an Art Director and Graphic Designer in Communication Design projects. He graduated in Graphic Design and Visual Communication at IED ISTITUTO EUROPEO DI DESIGN in Rome in 1996.
In 1999, he started his professional activity in the field of Editorial Graphics, Illustration and Exhibit Design. In 2002, he started, together with other two co-founders, his own company EJWD CROSSMEDIA COMMUNICATION DESIGN, where he collaborated until 2011 in many Corporate and Unconventional Communication projects.
Claudio is a Senior Member of AIAP, the Italian Association of Visual Communication Design, and he additionally held the position of Councilor for the Lazio delegation for the three-year period 2016-2018.
Claudio dedicated the following publications to the T-shirt culture: in 2006, the book titled T-shirt, il tatuaggio di stoffa (T-shirt, The Cloth Tattoo) with TUNUÉ edition; in 2007, the website www.iltatuaggiodistoffa.net.
He has been teaching Visual Communication for many years. Specifically: since 2013, at RUFA ROME UNIVERSITY OF FINE ARTS; from 2016 to 2020, at ISIA ROMA DESIGN ISTITUTO SUPERIORE PER LE INDUSTRIE ARTISTICHE; in 2009, at SAPIENZA UNIVERSITY OF ROME Department of Architecture “Ludovico Quaroni”; in 2003, at QUASAR DESIGN UNIVERSITY.
Graphic Design and T-shirts lover, in 2015 he was co-founder and event planner of Miteeca T-shirt meet Humans, an italian festival dedicated to the world of T-shirt. In 2014 he held the Handmade Life T-shirt workshop at BIAD, BIRMINGHAM INSTITUTE OF ART & DESIGN.
