Talk with Alessandro Borghi: “Il lavoro dell’attore”

Cinema, Film Arts

Alessandro Borghi stars in the latest Talk at the Academy: an opportunity for RUFA students to engage with an outstanding professional. A meeting curated by director and RUFA lecturer Andrea Costantini.

With the new academic year, the RUFA Talks return: a series of events that bring our students into contact with leading figures from the artistic and cultural world. The second meeting of the 2024 edition features Alessandro Borghi, one of the most acclaimed and versatile Italian actors, known for his ability to transform himself completely for every role, both physically and emotionally.

A journey into the actor’s craft: from character to set

During the meeting, Alessandro Borghi shared his experience of facing the challenges involved in characterisation, an aspect that has distinguished his career. Thanks to meticulous preparation, Borghi has been able to shape his physical appearance and psychological profile to suit memorable roles in films such as Sulla mia pelle and Suburra, without forgetting his international success with The Eight Mountains.

The talk offered an opportunity to discover what goes on behind the scenes in an actor’s work: from collaborating with directors and make-up artists to building a synergistic relationship on set. In particular, the meeting focused on the importance of dialogue between actors and young directors, a central theme in the questions and exchanges between Borghi and the RUFA students.
A unique opportunity for students from all RUFA disciplines. Being able to engage with a professional such as Alessandro Borghi means immersing oneself in a creative universe and receiving valuable insights and advice for one’s educational and professional journey.
