Playing Memories

The PLAYING MEMORIES project involves the creation of artistic residencies for the development and production of multidisciplinary artistic performances in an international context. It is a unique project, as it enables cultural, artistic and human exchange, as well as the sharing of ideas, skills and inspiration among young artists from different countries.

Eight different fifteen-day artistic residencies will be organised, each led by a lead artist and involving between eight and fifteen performers, including dancers, musicians, visual artists, photographers, set designers and other artistic professionals, selected throughout Italy through an open call for artists, starting in July 2024. During the two-week residency, the team, hosted by one of the partner institutions, will undertake an intensive creative process to design, stage and present its own original and previously unseen multidisciplinary performance, resulting from teamwork and collective creation. All the residencies and their related performances will be filmed by a television crew for the production of a TV docuseries to be released on a prestigious international streaming platform.

The Playing Memories project, in which RUFA participates as the implementing organisation, is made possible by the operational collaboration of five different institutions in the AFAM sector and is funded under the resources made available by Directorate Decree No. 124/2023 of the Italian Ministry of Universities and Research, INTAFAM 00021, CUP B93B24000010001.
