Tuition Fees and Financial Aid

For First- and Second-Level Academic Programmes, tuition fees are determined according to the ISEE value, the indicator of the household’s financial situation. Different criteria apply to the other programmes, as outlined below.

EXCLUDED COSTS

The fees shown in the tables for each First-Level or Second-Level programme do not include:

  • admission test fee, payable only in the first year: €100.00 for international students and €50.00 or €100.00 for Italian students, depending on the session;
  • the regional university study tax payable to the Regional Agency for the Right to Study and Knowledge – DiSCo: €140.00 via the following link: https://laziodisco.it/pagamento-tasse-e-abilitazioni/;
  • Diploma examination fee, payable only in the third year of First-Level Programmes and the second year of Second-Level Programmes: €400.00;
  • Diploma tax, payable only in the third year of First-Level Programmes and the second year of Second-Level Programmes: Government Concessions Tax Office – Rome – Education Taxes – postal account no. 1016: €90.84;
  • all teaching materials required for personal projects.

The tuition fee includes:
– enrolment fee;
– tuition and final examinations;
– CILS/PLIDA certification;
– RUFA card, including agreements with cinemas, theatres, gyms and teaching-material suppliers;
– final certificate.

  • 75% by 10 October.

RUFA’s annual tuition fee consists of two components.
The enrolment fee must be paid annually upon enrolment, while the remaining amount, the tuition fee, may be paid according to the available payment options, which differ for Italian and EU students and non-EU students.

  • 6 instalments (30 November, 31 December, 31 January, 28 February, 31 March, 30 April);
  • 12 instalments through an interest-free financing plan. The guarantor’s latest payslip or tax return is required, together with a copy of their identity document and Italian tax code.

ACADEMIC MASTER’S PROGRAMMES
The tuition fee may be paid:

  • in a single payment by 31 January, with a 5% discount;
  • 3 instalments (31 gennaio, 28 febbraio, 31 marzo);
  • 4 instalments (31 January, 31 March, 31 May, 31 July);
  • 6 instalments (31 January, 28 February, 31 March, 30 April, 31 May, 30 June);
  • 12 instalments through an interest-free financing plan. The guarantor’s latest payslip or tax return is required, together with a copy of their identity document and Italian tax code.

ACADEMIC MASTER’S PROGRAMMES

Payment of the enrolment fee and submission of the completed and signed form by 31 August 2026 will entitle students to a 10% reduction on the tuition fee.

Italian and EU students

Financial support

To make education more accessible, RUFA has established agreements with financial institutions and identified dedicated solutions that allow students to access loans and financing on favourable terms, helping them focus on their studies without placing excessive pressure on the family budget.

Applications are assessed by the partner institutions, taking into account both the guarantees provided and the student’s academic progress.

Merit-based loan

WHAT IT IS

A loan for students resident in Italy, available without personal guarantees: students simply need to be up to date with their studies.

WHEN IT BECOMES AVAILABLE

  • Funds are released from June of the first year, after students have earned at least 20 academic credits (CFA).

  • Funds are released in six-monthly instalments.

WHAT IT COVERS

It covers tuition fees, teaching materials, accommodation and other study-related expenses. No expense reporting is required.

REPAYMENT

  • A 24-month grace period after completing the programme, with no repayments due during this period.

  • Repayment over up to 30 years, with a fixed interest rate set when the agreement is signed.

  • Early repayment at no additional cost.

  • The interest is transferred by Intesa Sanpaolo to the Fund for Impact, which supports people who face barriers to accessing credit and education.

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • Applicants must be resident in Italy.

  • Loan disbursements do not coincide with RUFA payment deadlines, so plan your academic payments accordingly.

  • RUFA has no additional agreements with the bank beyond those set out in the product guide.

Interest-free financing

WHAT IT IS

A plan consisting of 12 interest-free monthly instalments to cover tuition costs.

REQUIREMENTS AND DOCUMENTS

  • A guarantor is required.

  • The following documents must be submitted: the latest payslip or tax return, an identity document and Italian tax code.

  • The application process begins through the RUFA Administration Office.

ASSESSMENT

Approval is at the discretion of the financial institution.

PLEASE NOTE

To access the interest-free plan, the applicant must have an income and be resident in Italy. Students wishing to use the interest-free financing plan must ensure that the person applying for the financing has an income and is resident in Italy.

Fee exemption

RUFA provides a €2,000.00 fee exemption for students with a certified disability of 66% or above, as a measure supporting the right to study and the accessibility of the academic pathway.

Siblings

RUFA supports families by offering a 10% tuition-fee reduction for enrolled siblings, encouraging continuity in their academic studies.

RUFA graduates

RUFA supports continued academic development by offering a 20% tuition-fee reduction to RUFA graduates enrolling in a Second-Level Academic Programme or an Academic Master’s Programme.
