Manuela Ciangola

Manuela Ciangola is an architect and holds a PhD in Architecture: Theories and Design from Sapienza University of Rome. Her research focuses on the history and theory of contemporary architecture, relational space and the processes of transformation of modern heritage. She has conducted archival research on the Metamorph group, Piero Sartogo and Luigi Piccinato, and is a member of Sapienza research groups dedicated to the Venice Biennale, modern heritage and the relationships between architecture and the arts. In 2025, she exhibited at the 19th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia with the project Taras. A regeneration device for the Taranto crater and curated the exhibition Metamorph. Pattern, Process, Space. She has presented her research at national and international conferences, including DOCOMOMO, Espaciar and Performing Space, and is the author of essays and academic contributions on modern and contemporary architecture, spanning history, design and the arts.
