RUFA ON SCREEN 2024

From 11 to 13 March, the second edition of RUFA ON SCREEN 2024 was held at the historic Cinema Troisi, a film showcase featuring animated films, documentaries and short films created by RUFA students and Alumni from the Cinema, Film Arts and Computer Animation and Visual Effects programmes.
A valuable opportunity to see audiovisual works created by a new generation of creatives representing the future of Italian and international cinema on the big screen. The aim of the showcase is to give them visibility and establish direct contact with the film market through dialogue with professionals, production companies and distributors. Partners involved in the event included Rai Cinema Channel, Minerva Pictures, Esen Studios, Sayonara Film, Hot Corn, Al-One, Visualogie and Ro’Skinwear.

During the showcase, distinguished guests shared their experience with the young authors present in the theatre, including directors, producers, distributors, cinematographers and screenwriters of the calibre of Laura Colella, Stefano Lodovichi, Paolo Genovese, Sydney Sibilia, Fabio Mollo, Daniele Ciprì, Francesca Boselli, Andrea Ranelletti, Cristian Scardigno, Adam Selo, Simone Isola, Luca Della Grotta and Alessandro Contenta.

The three official awards assigned to the most deserving works consist of three distribution contracts – one for each category – for a minimum duration of one year, aimed at submitting the works to national and international festivals.

RUFA On Screen 2024 was made possible thanks to the fundamental contribution of RUFA lecturers Christian Angeli, Andres Zabala, Pietro Ciccotti and Livia Barbieri, members of the internal committee, together with Raffaele Simongini, Chairman of the committee, Alessandro Marinelli and Andrea Costantini.
