Cem Kanyar was born in Istanbul. He started studying Visual Arts at Isik University and then transferred to RUFA where he graduated in Sculpture.
He has always been fascinated by all the various mechanisms of nature and all its components. In his works, he uses any medium available to him. Although his main mediums are concept and narration, above all else he is a storyteller.
Since his graduation in 2019, he has collaborated with many artists, either as their assistant or by participating in events and exhibitions. Being a person always in search of knowledge and practical skills with different kinds of materials, he currently also collaborates with a skilled craftsman and mason.
