Annual Report 2019

A journey through real projects, metareal landscapes, and poetic reflections between past and future, poised on the edge of possibility. This is the content brought together in the 114 plates and insert of the 2019 Annual Report, the most substantial edition produced over the years.

Meridians and parallels structure the pages and guide navigation through the publication. The three-panel photographic openings for the course chapters are reconstructed landscapes created using Polaroids, featuring inspiring muses who graduated from the Academy. Full-page calligraphy reinterprets selected poetic verses. Blue, with its powerful symbolic meaning, is the dominant colour.

The book is presented in a folder made of striped printed paper in offset white and is printed in five colours, thread-sewn and bound with a hard cover. The insert, printed in one colour on sky-blue paper, tells the story of the RUFA Contest 2019. The Annual Report is produced entirely using environmentally friendly FAVINI papers made from waste generated by wool and cotton processing.
