Election of the members of the Regional Council for the Right to Study and the Promotion of Knowledge (DiSCo)
On 14 and 15 May 2025, the elections of the members of the Regional Council for the Right to Study and the Promotion of Knowledge (DiSCo) and of the student representative on the Board of Directors of the DiSCo body will take place.
What is the DiSCo Regional Council?
It is a body that represents university students and those of the Higher Artistic and Musical Education Institutes (AFAM) of Lazio, participating in dialogue with institutions to improve services and opportunities for students. Within the Council, the Higher Artistic and Musical Education Institutes (AFAM) contribute to electing one representative.
The elections for student representatives in the DiSCo Lazio Regional Council are held every three years.
Who can vote and who can stand as a candidate?
All students regularly enrolled in AFAM Institutes in Lazio (whether on track or off track) who have taken at least one exam in the past three years may vote. Students enrolled up to the first off-track year may stand as candidates.
How to apply?
Students must submit their candidacy within an electoral list, which must be filed with the Central Electoral Commission.
Applications must be submitted using the forms published in the relevant section of the DiSCo Lazio website, no later than 6:00 pm on 14 April 2025 at the Protocol Office in Via de Lollis 24b. Each list must be accompanied by 50–100 signatures from students enrolled in AFAM Institutes in Lazio.
Voting procedures:
• The vote is secret and individual.
• Voters express their preference by ticking the symbol of the list and/or the name of the chosen candidate.
• Voting takes place at polling stations set up in the institutes of affiliation.
• Voting hours:
Wednesday 14 May 2025: from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm
Thursday 15 May 2025: from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm

Student Council: New Appointments 2025–2027
Following the first official meeting of the Student Council, the new appointments for the 2025–2026–2027 term have been confirmed.
Gianrico Maria Nannini has been appointed President of the Student Council.
At the same time, the two representatives of the Student Council on the Academic Council have been appointed: Pasqualina Colantuono and Gianrico Maria Nannini. They will be responsible for representing the views and proposals of the student community within the academic governing body.
The Student Council continues to be a space for dialogue and active participation, aimed at fostering communication between students and the institution and at contributing constructively to academic life at RUFA.
RUFA Student Council: election results
The voting process for the RUFA Student Council has concluded.
The following candidates have been elected: Angelica Cittadini, Pasqualina Colantuono, Gianrico Maria Nannini, Carlo Sgriccia and Emylya Aurora Vacca Gordon.
Those elected, who will hold office for the three-year term 2025 – 2026 – 2027, will be responsible for promoting, through open and constructive dialogue among students, faculty and administration, the full development of students’ personalities.
What the Student Council is
The Student Council is a group of students who give voice to the student body to ensure the best possible academic experience. The Council is composed of five student representatives who support others throughout their academic journey, addressing the needs of the community. This promotes interaction not only to resolve issues but also to encourage collaboration among academic departments. The Council, in addition to expressing opinions required by the Statute and regulations, may address requests and make proposals to the Academic Council, particularly regarding teaching organisation and student services.
