Barbara Pasquale

I have worked as an editor and post-production coordinator for more than 20 years, with experience editing documentaries and content for television, live broadcasts, streaming platforms and the web.

For more than 10 years, I have worked at Banijay Italia/ITV Movie, but my career began abroad: I lived in China for almost twenty years, working for Rai, CCTV and China Television Service. I also spent a couple of years in Berlin, working as a motion editor and camera operator, before returning to Rome.

In 2023, I began collaborating with RUFA as a Professor of Editing Techniques, and discovered how much I enjoy the academic exchange between my professional experience and the students’ original creativity.

What fascinates me most is shaping raw footage into something that conveys emotion. As Horace said, an image is a poem without words; ultimately, that is why I chose this profession.
