Maria Pina Bentivenga moved to Rome in 1991 and graduated from the Fine Arts Academy of Rome in 1995, when she also started researching engraving techniques and participating in several important exhibitions in Italy and abroad. In 2000, she started teaching Special Graphic Techniques and Print Making at RUFA – Rome University of Fine Arts.

- 2010: Teaching Engraving Techniques at the S. Giacomo School of Ornamental Arts, Rome
- 2011: Graphic Designers Prize at the 15th Massenzio Arte Awards, Rome; produced Sovenir, artists’ book with text by Fabrizio Napoli, InSigna – Rome
- 2012: Workshop for engraving and book arts at EASD, Zamora, Spain; Resident Artist project at Montefiore Conca, Rimini – Un Castello per le Arti
- 2013: Joined the Association of Contemporary Engravers (board member); founding member of Associazione InSigna, Rome; participated in Divertissement project/residence; created artists’ book Fragili Orizzonti, InSigna – Rome
- 2014: Workshops on letterpress and artists’ books; edited Buchi with text by Fabio Palombo, InSigna – Rome; Albertina, Vienna acquired graphic work Deux; Istituto Nazionale per la Grafica, Rome acquired 7 prints, 4 drawings and 1 artists’ book
