Don’t Hug Me System

A system for assessing quality of life in the workplace, designed through a collaborative approach

Don’t Hug Me System is a system for monitoring and managing harassment, discrimination and overall quality of life in the workplace.

Work is a source of psychological as well as financial support. I decided to focus on an issue that is often underestimated: the protection of workers from psychosocial risks generated by particular interactions or forms of discrimination within the workplace.

Through interviews with lawyers and trade union representatives, and thanks to the group activities carried out during the research phase, I was able to map some of the interactions considered most unpleasant at work onto a kind of “severity scale”. Having such a broad overview of the phenomenon allowed me to design an ecosystem made up of different touchpoints through which unwanted behaviour by colleagues or managers can be reported and anonymously brought to light.
