Short Courses

The RUFA Short Courses, held in Rome, and Milan, offer intensive, practical and professional training in the visual arts, audiovisual disciplines and design. They are designed for those who want to acquire skills quickly and put them into practice immediately, or update their creative profile without undertaking a long-term academic programme.

You can choose from courses dedicated to drawing, painting, photography, filmmaking, copywriting, performance art, as well as technical modules on software such as Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and After Effects. Small class sizes and professional lecturers ensure personalised and effective learning.

RUFA also offers tailor-made training programmes for companies and groups, either in person or online, ideal for developing practical skills and targeted professional updates in the creative sector.

Build your own path

Nurturing your creativity means giving yourself the freedom to learn, imagine and transform.

Creativity grows when it is given time, method and new stimuli. With RUFA Short Courses, you can explore a discipline, develop practical skills or build your own personal learning path.
The offering is divided into three sessions throughout the year: Autumn, Winter and Spring. You can attend a single course or combine several experiences, following a progressive path aligned with your interests and goals.

RUFA Short Courses are not simply a catalogue of courses. They are an ecosystem of learning experiences that can be undertaken individually or combined over time. Each course can become the starting point for the next. You can explore a specific field in greater depth, experiment with different languages or build a path that develops throughout the entire year.
There is no compulsory route. There are many possibilities.

Three sessions to learn throughout the year: Autumn, Winter and Spring

The three Short Course sessions allow you to organise your learning flexibly. You can choose the period that best fits your commitments or attend several consecutive sessions. The modular structure makes the courses compatible with study, work and everyday life. Learning thus becomes a regular appointment with creativity.

You can take part in a single course to discover a new discipline. You can also choose several related activities and develop increasingly advanced skills. RUFA offers a number of recommended pathways created by connecting disciplines, techniques and different levels of study. These are flexible suggestions, not compulsory programmes. Each participant can adapt their own path according to personal interests, available time and the results they want to achieve.

Creative courses for passions and professions

Lifelong Learning: learning throughout life

For some participants, Short Courses are an opportunity to cultivate a passion. They provide personal space dedicated to drawing, photography, design, illustration and other contemporary creative languages. For others, they are an investment in professional growth. The courses make it possible to update skills, experiment with tools and develop abilities that can be applied in the creative industries.
The programme is part of a lifelong learning approach: learning throughout life means nurturing curiosity, sensitivity and expressive abilities. You can explore the Creative Lab offering or develop technical and professional skills through the Digital Hub.

Practical training and possible recognition of AFAM credits

Short Courses are designed to transform learning into experience. Teaching activities connect knowledge, experimentation and practical application. For courses where this is предусмотрено, students already enrolled at a university or an AFAM institution may request recognition of the learning activities completed. The awarding of credits is not automatic. It depends on the characteristics of the course, the number of hours attended and the procedures of the student’s home institution. Before enrolling, it is therefore important to check the conditions specified on the course page.

Free guidance to help you choose the right course

Choosing means understanding where to begin and which direction to follow. RUFA’s free guidance service helps each participant identify the courses that best match their existing skills, interests and personal or professional goals.

Make creativity a habit

You can choose a single session, attend two or build a pathway that lasts throughout the entire year. The goal remains the same: to make creativity a habit and learning a continuous experience. Dedicating time to your education means investing in yourself, acquiring new tools and opening up possibilities that have yet to be explored.
