From June 20-22, 2025, RUFA artists* from the two-year program in Multimedia Arts and Design return to the summer edition of Dancity Festival to surprise the audience with two brand new projects.
The partnership between the Associazione Culturale Dancity and RUFA continues, and on the occasion of the Dancity Summer Festival 2025, two site-specific installations created by first-year students (Inlet Collective) and second-year students (Pascolo Abusivo Collective) of the Master’s in Multimedia Arts and Design will be presented.
The project, curated and coordinated by Daniele Falchi, will be showcased as part of Dancity M.A.S. – the section dedicated to media art and the multiple artistic languages intertwined with contemporary culture – at Cantina Raìna (Montefalco, PG) on June 20, 21, and 22, 2025.
Dancity Summer Festival 2025 once again affirms itself as a cornerstone of contemporary artistic research, offering new generations the opportunity to engage with internationally renowned artists such as Juan Atkins, DJ Stingray 313, Francesco Farfa, and DJ Nobu, in some of the most magical and characteristic venues of the Umbrian region, which for the occasion will become the stage for an immersive experience mindful of environmental policies.
ARTWORKS ON DISPLAY
«BLACK³» by Inlet Collective
The concept of time becomes visible. The installation makes every ephemeral and unrepeatable moment of the festival tangible, uniting place, performers, and audience in a continuous flow. It is a symbol of the “here and now,” a unique collective experience that amplifies the invisible and reflects co-creation. Like a living black box, it is not an enclosed space but a sensitive organism that records and reveals what usually remains hidden, bringing forth the essential in the very moment of interaction.
«OLOS» by Pascolo Abusivo Collective
A tunnel crosses the space, but it connects more than just two locations. It is structure, body, threshold, and metaphor. Quantum entanglement – the phenomenon by which two particles remain connected regardless of distance – suggests a deep fabric of the universe, where connections matter more than individual objects. In this holographic perspective, spatial reality is read as a projection of information located elsewhere, as in a hologram. It is not space that contains information, but information that generates space.
The installation takes shape as a material embodiment of these concepts: a tunnel built with a visible structural mesh, inside which a network of light spreads – a dynamic web activated by the passage of people. The work invites viewers to perceive space as an emergent phenomenon from a dense web of relations, a fabric of light and information in which gravity, geometry, and time become consequences of interconnection. In this walkable experience, art becomes the body of theory, giving form to the hypothesis that space-time is a choral song of entanglement.
