Filippo Gualazzi obtained his Academic Diploma in New Technologies of Art at the Accademia di belle Arti di Urbino. During this period he pursued a multidisciplinary path ranging from advertising graphics to photography and videomaking. In 2013 he enrolled at the “ZeroCrossing” Music Academy, where he attended a two-year course in electronic music production. The world of images and the world of sound increasingly encouraged him to explore new forms of expression, so in 2017 he enrolled in the “Multimedia Arts&Design” course at Rome University of Fine Arts, obtaining his Master’s Degree with full marks in February 2020. The core of his artistic practices has always been strongly influenced by and connected to the sound component, with the aim of making sound tangible and visible. His knowledge of music production has taken shape through various collaborations with musicians and composers, in which his inclination towards video practices associated with audio in real time has become particularly consolidated. Some audiovisual projects, developed mainly within the academic context, have given him the opportunity to take part in internationally renowned festivals such as “Matera Intermedia”, “UK Young artists”, “Blooming”, “Roma Europa” and “Biennale Musica di Venezia”. He currently collaborates on various projects with artistic associations such as Otolab, Umanesimo Artificiale and BitNet. Founder of the Quadro Quantico studio/collective, specialising in Interaction design, virtual sets and videomapping. He works on a permanent basis with the creative studio CABINAA in Milan.

Explora Sotterranea through lights and colours: a permanent immersive multimedia space for early childhood (0-5 years), families and schools (nursery and preschool).
It renews the current “Percorso tattile” and the school programme “Io e il colore”, with the creation of 4 new themed environments dedicated to colour theory, essential for relating to the surrounding world. The new sensory experience at Museo Explora integrates interactive technological systems to help visitors understand the behaviour of light and colour, through an intuitive perceptual experience featuring 5 installations: 3 technical/informative – Luci e ombre, rifrazione della luce, Colori complementari, and 2 playful/experiential – Suono e colore and Colore e suono.
