Lorenzo Cappella

Painting
Lorenzo Cappella.

Lorenzo Cappella was born in Ancona in 1999. In 2018 he graduated from the E. Mannucci Art High School in Ancona, specialising in Audiovisual and Multimedia. Since 2018 he has lived and worked in Rome. In 2022 he obtained a First-Level Academic Diploma in Painting from RUFA – Rome University of Fine Arts, and since the same year he has been enrolled in the Second-Level Academic Programme in Fine Arts – Painting. His research is based on the idea of painting as a tool for breaking through the surface of things in favour of deeper investigation. Among his many professional experiences are working as a painting and drawing teacher at Cielo Terra Vertecchi, as a studio assistant at Studio Fabio Mauri, and as a gallery technician at Lorcan O’Neill Gallery. Since 2022 he has been part of the Rome-based MAGTRE collective, where he organises experimental events and exhibitions, and since 2020 he has collaborated with KH Lab on the organisation, research and logistics of events and exhibitions.
