Visual and Innovation Design
Marco Taurino.

He obtained both a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design and a Master’s Degree in Visual and Innovation Design at RUFA, where he developed projects ranging from wearable solutions to advertising campaigns and brand identity. He won the RUFA Prize for Talent and the MTV RUFA Contest 2017 award. In 2019 he took part in a prestigious masterclass at SVA (School of Visual Arts) with L. Talarico and S. Heller.

An experimenter in the field of visual programming, he creates dynamic and generative visuals and identities, including the Solid Light project in collaboration with Fendi and the new visual identity for Pordenone Design Week.

For his Master’s thesis, he developed D’ECO, a magazine dedicated to designers, with contributions from prominent figures such as R. Falcinelli, E. Vitale, A. Accatino and G. Allegri. He gained experience in design and work management both as a freelance professional and as a team leader for companies such as Cristaltec, as well as collaborating on team projects for organisations such as FAO and WHO.

He further developed his skills through UX design courses, basing his method on conceptual strategies and a long-term user-centred vision. In 2020, together with Intorno Design, he designed the Ganlife cosmetics brand.

D’ECO – La voce ai designer

We are designers aware that we have shortcomings unrelated to technical knowledge, but rather arising from a lack of knowledge of humanistic, historical and cultural subjects, and that we lack the tools to engage with those who govern us and improve our position.
What is the awareness of the profession within society? What protects us?

Why do competitiveness and individualism exist? These are the questions we asked ourselves about designers, capable of solving problems of all kinds but unable to interact with one another, concerned only with their own survival.

Design generates wealth in society, and its value must therefore be recognised by increasing its culture in general and through
the education of designers who are aware of the potential of the profession.
“D’ECO La voce ai designer” is a biannual magazine that, through history, technology and society, opens a debate among designers from every field on the state of the profession through questionnaires, interviews with professionals, debates, articles and columns, creating a shared awareness aimed at finding solutions.
