Marta Bologna.

Marta Bologna was born in Rome in 1987 and discovered a passion for drawing and photography from an early age. After completing scientific studies, she decided to pursue the visual arts by enrolling at RUFA – Rome University of Fine Arts. In 2010 she obtained a First-Level Academic Diploma in Graphic Design and in 2015 a Second-Level Academic Diploma in Visual Design with top marks. Through the Erasmus programme, in 2012 she continued her studies for several months in England at the School of Visual Communication in Birmingham. In 2016, together with RUFA, she exhibited her specialist thesis project “Sanitapp”, supervised by Prof. Di Cosmo, at the Maker Faire in Rome. Through RUFA she obtained an internship at Inarea, a company specialising in Brand Identity. She subsequently worked for four years at a communication agency, where she dealt with branding, exhibit and editorial projects, and in 2019 moved into the digital sector, working at a media agency. Over time she developed a passion for UX/UI design and currently works for a multinational company operating in the consulting sector.

Marta Bologna’s project originated from small adjustments that she then translated onto a larger scale, eventually conceiving the entire project as work dedicated to the social sphere. More specifically, the student focused on the regional healthcare sector (Regione Lazio), considering how a smartphone application, now increasingly widespread and used in every field, could meet users’ needs for bookings, reminders and, more generally, saving time. In particular, she developed a system capable of helping users book prescriptions and medical appointments online, while also allowing them to archive the history of all the various medical reports accumulated over time.

The project follows the logical sequence of research, analysis and design, starting from the development of the brand identity and its various applications, through to the study of the more complex mechanisms of interaction between user and device.
