Born in the province of Vicenza in ’96. She moved to Rome and in 2019 graduated in Set Design from the Rome University of Fine Arts, under the guidance of lecturers such as S. Conti, M. C. Castelli, A. Vergoz, V. Caruso. During this period she collaborated with other students from the Academy on the production of short films, theatrical performances, set designs for the Rufa Contest, and more. In 2018 she was involved by set designer Maria Chiara Castelli in the production of the television programme “Il Gran Trallallà”, Canale 5. She later met Alessia Petrangeli and collaborated with both of them on various projects: “Ossigeno”, 2019, Rai2; “Una ballata per Genova”, 2019, Rai1; “Il Festival di Castrocaro 2019-2020”, Rai2, produced by ArcobalenoTre; “I cavalieri di Castelcorvo”, 2020, Disney+, produced by Stand by me and Disney Italia; “Venus Club”, 2021 Italia1, produced by ArcobalenoTre. She also works as an art buyer and assistant set decorator/set designer on film productions, such as “Sulle Nuvole”, 2020, by Cinemaundici.
Hugo Cabret. Treni, ingranaggi e magia
A set design for La straordinaria invenzione di Hugo Cabret. From Brian Selznick’s novel to Martin Scorsese’s film, in an attempt to create a theatrical production of a story set in 1930s Paris. The colours, structures and characteristic characters that inhabit this environment: each one is a small cog that makes the entire mechanism work. This thesis explores the historical and geographical context of the novel and
the screenplay, ultimately also examining the films mentioned in the story, works by great pioneers of silent cinema, such as R. Clair, H. Lloyd and others.
The result is an original theatrical project that nevertheless retains a cinematic flavour.
