Tatiana Balchesini is a young artist born in 1992, who graduated from the RUFA Academy of Fine Arts in Rome with a Master’s Degree in Painting in 2019. She lives and works in Rome. She is interested in various artistic disciplines, with a preference for painting. Her works are characterised by vivid colours and surreal scenarios. They are introspective works, inspired by myth, legend and listening to pieces from Italian Melodrama. Always ready to experiment with new paths, she creates works when her emotions are stirred. She is currently working on a project on the Divina Commedia, fixing the deadly sins and human virtues onto the canvas. Through colour, the artist captures the atrocities and beauty of the human soul. She often favours large-scale works such as “l’Apoteosi dell’Amore”, in which she depicts the myth of Eurydice and Orpheus, or “Il Risveglio dell’araba fenice”, in which she narrates the origin of life and rebirth through a repetitive and vital cycle.
