Janneke Leenders was born in 2003 in Roermond, the Netherlands.
Currently, Janneke explores in her practice the traces of life hidden within the absurdity of the inanimate abstract. Using different media in an apparently random way, she creates a distant perception of something vital, vital in either a scientific or emotional sense.
She does this by making use of the immersive qualities offered by installation, combined with the reapplication of more traditional media such as printmaking, but through a contemporary lens.
