Alice Santarelli was born in Rome in 2000. In 2014 she began her studies at the “A. Caravillani” Art High School. Since 2019 she has been regularly enrolled in the Painting programme at “RUFA, Rome University of Fine Arts”.
The artist within me constantly longs to create images capable of connecting the observer directly with the pure act of creation. What characterises me is improvisation. My muse is my creative nature, which entrusts itself to places where it is not enough simply to stay, but where one must truly be present with every feeling. For me, drawing is like being catapulted somewhere else. I experiment with different techniques to understand which one best suits my artistic inclination. I paint on small canvases to silence my insecurities and enjoy the intermittent rhythm of my heart, capable of precise pauses. I like the dark colours I use to gradually transform into increasingly lighter and brighter shades.
